ArtWorks Scotland is a national professional development initiative for artists working in participatory settings. Set up by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, it’s one of five similar projects across the UK and is part-funded by Creative Scotland.
The ArtWorks initiative aims to generate a step change in the availability of information and training provision for artists, through engagement with Higher and Further Education providers, cultural organisations and employers, as well as the artists themselves.
The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
The Royal Conservatoire is Scotland’s national centre of professional vocational training in performance arts. Located in the heart of Glasgow, the Conservatoire offers outstanding specialist learning to the highest professional level in our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in dance, drama, music, production, screen and education.
The Royal Conservatoire’s training is rigorous and inextricably linked to the professions. The Royal Conservatoire nurtures talent at all stages and ages with a wide variety of courses from weekly sessions to specialist summer schools. The Royal Conservatoire’s vision is that its graduates will enrich the performing arts with new work and will create the future of performance for generations to come, and its curriculum is designed to make that happen.
